Does Love Exist?

To answer the question plain and simple...of course it does. For example, I love my Blazers! I love the fact that we are going to be a great team. I love my family for who they are whether on a good day or bad day, knowing that they are always going to be there for me. But that is what makes them family...knowing that if you get in a huge fight, knowing that getting a good sleep and you will act as if nothing had happened because of love that exists in family.

Now ask yourself, does love exist. Everyone knows who I am and what I believe in life. But I have to say, that being where I am in life, I am happy. I really am, I have the greatest of friends that are letting me stay in their condo, and I am more than willing to help them out along with my other friends to help them out in anyway possible. I love that they are always there for me and knowing that they are looking out for me.

When it comes to relationships...everyone knows that my relationship life has been a personal movie...I swear, If I meet the right people in Hollywood, my love life would be a box office smash right under "The Dark Knight" You could even title my movie, "The Dark Love" Because it is pretty dark at the moment. But where am I going with this thing called a Blog...oh yes, Love.

I feel like I'm giving a talk in church...if you look love up in the dictionary it reads... a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. But when it comes to life, I think the world has turned in such a way that people are no longer in love with who the other person other than only if that significant other is able to take care of them...possibly love them. I don't have a college degree, sue me! But when I go out on dates, and the talk about what school did you go to, how much money are you going to be making for me, what kind of car do you drive...it comes down to this...I graduated from the University of Century. AKA Century High School AKA High School Diploma. Don't get me wrong, I know that having a college education is a very important thing to have in life, I wish I had mine now, but I don't...things just haven't worked out the way I thought they would. But to hear that girls will no longer see me because I don't have a college degree...wow.

So it begs to ask the question...do people truly fall in love with each other anymore? I would say this...I truly hope so. In today's society, everyone is looking for Mr. or Mrs. Perfect. I am going to go out on a limb and say that people are more in love with the idea that "my man, or woman" has a degree from Stanford and a Masters from Harvard. They are also in love with the idea that driving around a Beamer or Lexus is a great idea...

The biggest shows on the TV today are the Bachelor, or the Bachelorette...WHY? Oh yes, Love. It's something that people want to find, but they have to go through 25 men or women to actually find it. I think that's a big reason today that people are not getting married, that is unless you go to BYU...but people wish it were that easy and I think some expect it to be that easy. It's not. And I don't think it will ever be that easy, but that is what makes it fun. The dating game, which I hate!

To end...I do believe that love does exist, it's just a matter of checking everything off a checklist that people have made to determine whether or not they are worthy of actually hearing those 3 words that maybe some people say too early in a relationship...I love you!
